(especially those who are facing low self esteem and baby christians )

Christianity Talk : Understandings of God

How much we understand about God? Jesus died on the cross, Jesus set us free, righteousness, salvation. Often I questioned myself on the understandings of God; but that was just the basic believer's knowledge of christianity. One thing i am missing out here, is the relationship with God that i've lack. Indeed, i am being very impatient about having the intimate relationship with Him and expect it to advance like 'instant mee' formula. The point that i didn know was that i am still a baby spirit in christ; needed to be fed everyday, cared and loved. God do make miracles, His glory is around the world, but not on me - here comes my impatience and anxiousness to know more about God. What that leads me to is a disaster of loosing faith in Him or to make it specific, a failure in christ. Without the consultation and directions from God, life is a total failure.

What i am trying to point out here is that the understandingsof God do not just consist on the umbrella of knowledge and facts about God, but the more important thing we (as christians) need to consider is the intimate relationship with Him, as our loving father, teacher and brother and friend. Knowing that Jesus died on the cross to set us free is the first walking step in the walk of faith as a believer, but His love and compassion is the one that we need to grow in maturity in christ. His presence is the one that we all should be, and always desires for it. Sometimes faith does jump away or wonder around in this worldly condition.. I myself faced many situations where i have to choose between God and this world.. From studies to shopping, from family to friends.. I questioned myself,how often do i walk in faith when im faced with situations that affects the relationship with God. The answer is many times. But God forgives (doesn't mean that we should take advantage of it), and try my best not to repeat the same thing over and over again. Yet i failed, even with the great knowledge on God, i failed because of the lack of faith and relationship with Him. I am not able to do better, because i ignore the relationship with Him, i couldn feel how compassionate He is to me, how lovable He is to me, how caring He is to me - fact that He is always presence next to me but i have yet to feel His presence.

God came not only to give us the knowledge about Him, but also to take care of us like a hen looking over its chicks. A father that are always there to love us no matter what happens, and always here to hear our prayers and shoutouts. All this grow step by step, not in an 'instant mee' formula, but more like a baby growing into adulthood. I always thought miracles happen. Indeed it does happen but not on the relationship with God. Miracles happen to give glory and praise to God and to make us feel passionate about Him, but not making us to grow in one day.. Dwelling in the presence of God everyday, and learning to recognize His voice is the one that we need in order to grow.. It may take faster if you're really determine and your holy spirit works like a choo choo train.. but for some people like me; still struggling with the determination and temptation im facing everyday that leads me to the dying of my holy spirit God sent. What can i do about it? Ignore it? NO! OFCOURSE NOT. When there's a will, there's a way; God always prepare us with a way out to our solutions. The only way to avoid loosing passion on God is to ask the holy spirit for help, which also means ask our Father in heaven to help us and to strengthen us. Daily bible readings is a must to do. But if you are unable to read for someday, doesn't mean that God already dissapear from you.. If you're alert about Him, you will tend to see many things that God is trying to teach you in your daily life.

The intimate relationship with God is the most important elements in all christian living. Pastor had said it many times in God seekers meeting. How to grow to that intimate relationship? Seeking God is the way. Many times i tried to only study the knowledge of God; the cruxifixion of Jesus, the bible verses, the miracles, the parables.. but at the end of the day, i discover that actually i know nothing about Him - ' How little i know about God actually'. Just like how little i know about my younger sister living far away from me. I know that she's two years old, knows what she like and dislike, but yet she couldn't even remember talking to me on the phone. Same thing applied when i know about 'Jesus facts' but never spent time talking and knowing Him, how will i even recognize Him?

Hillsong Concert was a blast!!! Cool man.

Too bad we cant take any pictures or videos.. :(

But it was great. 3000 people in the hall.

Such great joy to see so many youths are passionate and motivated about GOD. Pray that there's more to come..

We (Jeremy and May) went there at about 6.30 and already there's so many people there. Some of them i see them with Mcd's, sitting there and waiting...

But it was seriously a great night..
