Planet Shakers and Youth Alpha!

Yo dudes..!!

How ya doin?? Fine..? OKok... hehe.. cut the crap.. I juz wanna say.. That Planet Shakers'll be coming to Malaysia on April 12th! They'll be having a concert for worship and to introduce to de people about Youth Alpha; which is what we're gonna do in our MYF in May..!

So dun miss tis out ya.. hehe..

Here's de details:

Time: 6.30pm - 10pm

Place: Full Gospel Assembly Kuala Lumpur

Admission fee: FREE..!

So guys, although in some ways they may not be as good as hillsongs, united or any other band, come and dun mis out de worship experience la... And of course, lets take this opportunity to bring our non-christian frenz over to tis kind of event and at lease bring them over to our MYF for at least one session of our Youth Alpha session when we have it on the first week of May..!

And oso juz to tell ya guys, We're havin Youth Alpha session on alternate weeks starting from May onwards! De Youth Alpha sessions have at least 16 sessions to be completed.. One thing guys, u dun need to sit through the whole 16 lessons if u dun wanna or not free to come for all de sessions.. But we advice you guys that you try to come to this course and oso invite our non-christian frenz for at least 1 session and let them taste and see that the Lord is gud!

It's a promise that this Youth Alpha will be a very interesting to both christians and non-christians! Never miss this out ya! De sessions will be conducted by our very own commitee members oso! hehe.. Dun underestimate us ya!

Jesus is not our guest

I would like to say 'Thank you' to all the MYF'ers for the support and help for the Easter Play. It was a good play....

And I would like to Thank God for doing such a wonderful job!

If you all did not know, it was pretty hectic in the beginning and during practices, but God was there to guide us.. *phew* That's a prove on why we can always depend on God! *grins*

I've heard a story during pastor sermon one time in the service. The story is like....

"One time, a man invited Jesus to come to his home. Jesus was happy to go and stay in his house and said, 'no matter what happens, I will be there for you because you have accepted me'. During the night time, the man heard a loud knock on his door. 'knock..knock..knock'. The man woke up from his bed and went to the door, he slowly opened the door and peeped out and it was the devil that was knocking. The man quickly close the door, but the devil kept pushing it. So, the man struggle with him and finally manage to close it. The man look back and Jesus was there standing. The man asked why arent you helping me? Jesus said, 'I'm only a guest'.The next night, the man heard a loud knocking again at his door. He woke up again from his bed and walk towards the door. Again, it was the devil who tries to come in. The man struggle again and finally manage to close it. He again saw Jesus standing there. He asked again, 'why are you not helping me? I thought you said that you will be with me no matter what happen.' Jesus answered, 'because you have make me your guest of the house. A guest should not bother about what's the master of the house is doing and will not intrude. The man then realise that, he's only making Jesus as the guest, but not letting him to take charge. The man felt sorry and let Jesus take charge. The next night again there was a loud knocking on the door. Jesus walk towards the door and open it. The devil saw and says 'sorry wrong house!' .


At the beginning, I heard this story, I know whats the meaning behind, but never understood it properly. Alot of times, we know that we should let Jesus take charge of our life, but really applying it is really tough. Somethings we know it, but we don't do it. The lack of faith and confidence is there. We question ourselves again whether can God really help in this situation, or that we could have a better idea on how to do it. In another words, we questioned God.

Jesus is not our guest in our meetings, fellowships, games, services, sharing and many more. Jesus is the one who organized it, and we should do it his way. When He says that He will do it, He will does a great job. So, never to force yourself on something so hard but never seems to reach it. Instead, pray harder and ask God for help and then wait on the Lord. Your patience will be rewarded when you wait. And then, you can praise your Father in heaven, for all the wonderful amazing things He has done.

Dear Everyone,

Im here writing an apology post because i've not been updating the blog. Sadly, i have to admit that i'm pretty busy and my walk with God is currently building up. In a way, i've lost my path and now i'm slowly looking for Him again. *pray for me* (sobsob)

But anyway, i'll do my best to update this as often as i could... Meantime, MYF is preparing for a play this Easter. *yay*

Refering to the church, this week is "holy week" preparing for Easter to come. I guess its fits right thru us that it is time to be still and listen to God. Time to think again about Jesus who saved us and pray how we could increase our faith with Our Heavenly Father.

Reality Check...!!

Hey guys,

After seeking God and hearing His advice, i feel that this friday's rehersal should be replaced witha prayer meeting where we take time and come and seek God. I personally feel that, we the MYF and the leaders are running out of stim... We seemed to be busy and tired of our daily duties.. In other words, i feel like, we are missing out God more and more each time we meet on sundays.. I feel the need to gather together as leaders and youths of today to come and pray and seek God before going on with our plans this month and before we plan for the months to come.. As the president myself, i feel as if, God is not here in our MYF meetings.. This is a MAJOR problem as MYF...

Therefore guys, I feel that we must take time for God once again.. I feel that this is an issue that is going to become a big big crisis if this issue is not tended properly before its too late. We are the youth os this generation, and the devil is all out to "potong our stim"..!! LETS NOT LET THE DEVIL SUCCEED..!!! THE ENEMY IS DEFEATED! LET US SHOUT WITH A VOICE OF VICTORY!

So guys, lets meet this friday 8pm with expectation from God to re-inspire us again! Let us come together and pray and seek God! Let us not be like the story of how the Israelites (See Joshua chapter 7: http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?book_id=6&chapter=7&version=31&context=chapter) thought that they could capture Ai without God's guidence or advice! We are in a very very dangerous situation if we do not hear God's voice and guidence to lead us! Let us repent, and come back to God; where we belong; before things get even worse or worst!

'Passion'

Soooory fellows... I know the blog has been really quite lately. Partly due to the overload assignments and college stuff to deal with. But anyway, this blog is dedicated to the Lord, and I must find time to write some stuff too~

Today's myf was pretty much all about rehersal for the coming easter sketch. Is just all about familiarizing the script.

Later in the evening, I went for a youth gathering. (teenage youth gathering) *grins* I feel old! But anyway, it was really great to see so many young and energetic youth, getting ready to serve God. They shared something about 'passion' which I find it meaningful.

Passion is very important. Passion to serve God is even more important. Why? Passion is like a driver to us. It drive us to strive for the best and what we wanted. But ofcos, not everyone has the passion from God Himself. When we have the passion of God, we can do everything and anything just because of Him, but when we do not have His passion, all we does is wondering around, looking for passion over passion and in the end, we could not be satisfied.

Honestly to say, I've lost some of my passion for God lately... Thats the reason why the blog is so quite. I totally have no inspiration to write anything. But, is still not to late to go back to Him. When we run back to God, He will invite us with open arms.

Preparing For Easter..!!! (Announcement)

Hey guyss..!!!!!!! How are yaa..?

Easter's coming..!!

at the 23rd of March 2007, our church's gonna celebrate Easter!!

WooHoo..!!

So, to join in the celebration, we the MYf are coming up with our latest prodution

"The Intern"

Hehe, we actually havent confirmed the title yet, but its something like that la.. Hehe..

Anyway, what i wanna say is that for this weeks to come, we'll be having rehersals for Easter; this means that every sunday from today onwards (4th March 07) till Easter (23rd of March) we wont be having our regular MYF meetings as we'll need to prepare for Easter presentation.

Here's a brief schedule on our rehersal planz:

March 4th, Tuesday: Shooting for our video intoduction at Da Rong's place

March 9th, Sunday: First rehersal and famililarizing with the presentation

March 14th, Friday: Second rehersal

March 16th, Sunday: Third rehersal

March 21st, Friday: Final rehersal (Full dress rehersal)

March 23rd, Sunday Morning: Warm Up Rehersal before church and Finally, the presentation presented to church

Prayer-Day

Today's MYF meeting is all about prayers.

Why?

Pray is actually an important part of knowing God. Pray is not just about meditating and saying out all your needs but also your feelings. In another words, pray is equals to talking to God.

When you're sad and you need someone to talk to, dial 1300-88-GOD! Guarantee he answers calls and immediately.. and would love to listen.

Sometimes, as teenagers, we do have a lot of things going on in our minds. Studies, work, part-time jobs, assignments, exams, friends, relationship,family, fun, shopping, and etc. We spent most of our time doing so many stuff in one day, till we dont have time to quite down ourselves and seek God and tell him how exciting our day is.

24hours a day, and just spent 10minutes with God.. (is that pretty hard?)

God loves us to talk to him, relate to him and tell him everything. *sometimes, we dun have to tell, he knows what's in our hearts*

Talking to God is like talking to a friend, we spent some time in silence... and then relate to him. We don't have to say anything if we dont' know what to say, but just close your eyes and call 'Dear Father'... is already part of spending intimate relationship with God. Why? because God knows what's deep down in our heart.

God is not a daddy that when you need something, then only you ask for him. He's a father that wants to know you more, understand you and teach you. He is the one that could give us the greatest comfort and love that everyone else could not provide. Only God can...

Remember to just spent some time with God.. maybe try saying Hello for a good start and then continue to relate more to him each time you spent with God.
